I'm really excited about my future. For those that don't know, I graduated a got my BSN in May, passed the NCLEX (nursing boards) in July, and recieved word that I was accepted into the service as an officer. I plan on going with friends to Hawaii next week, back for bumbershoot, and then off to Eastern Washington to visit friends before heading down to Texas in October. I've been practicing shooting my guns, teaching swim lessons, running and exercising, hiking, going to all the fairs and seeing the night life. School was fun but I'm glad to be done with it for now. Some of the things I want to do next is jump out of an airplane, drive stick shift, get a motorcycle, and travel. I'm hoping to live next in North Carolina or Colorado and eventually Germany.

VA tech murderies

another shooting at a school. Does anyone else see a pattern? This Shooter was bullied, liked the other school shooters. Unlike other shooters, he didn't complain. This guy was quiet and lived with it. Other shooters complained but got no help. Maybe, parents and teachers shouldn't tolerate kids picking on other kids. Until we realize being compassionate and simpathetic to others is a strength not a weakness this will continue to happen. At least in Washington state, we now have an antibulling law. I hope this gets enforced by people of authority. So the question is did the bullying make him go crazy or was he crazy and the bullying just escalated it?

back at school. 10 months and I graduate...can't wait. spent last summer working two different jobs, one I really liked and one I tolerated. have to update some of my certs this fall. Next summer, I plan to teach a couple of classes, and take the boards in the fall. I would still really love to go to Germany, but I never find the time. I really missed school and I'm glad to be back.

got rid of a lot of my scuba diving stuff...i don't seem to have anytime to go with school over in spokane and working during the summers. i wish i had more time. so since i haven't been going my dad sold most of his stuff and some of my stuff. by the time i get back to diving it will all be out of service and too old to use. it's hard enough just finding the time to swim and keep my lifeguarding up to date.

flex cars and brazil

here is another great example of being screwed by our government in Washington and Olympia. Brazil has flex cars that run on alcohol or gas. the flex cars are manufactured by GM and Ford. 4 out of 5 new cars are bought in Brazil are flex cars. Brazil makes the alcolol from sugar cane and now are not dependent on foreign oil. In the USA, they are selling the hybrid car. Manufactured in Japan. Gas mileage is great in stop and go city traffic, but worst in highway driving(because your hauling the heavy battery around and not using it). STill need gas to run. WE still are heavily dependent on imported oil. We are fighting a war to support our continual need for oil. the oil companies are making huge profits. Our govenor talks about alternative fuel but I don't see her taking a lead. She could direct our universities into looking at alcohol production or insist that more flex and hybrid cars are sold by car dealerships. Instead, America is selling the flex cars in Brazil and the crappy hybrids to Americans. Sure alcohol is not as efficient as gas, but we can produce alcohol from our crops. Alcohol is a cleaner fuel than gas. Unfortunately, we have the huge oil lobbyist in Washington so the only way we can get rid of our nations dependency on foreign oil is if we the people start the change and fight Washington. So here is my suggestion. Cut back on driving personal vehicles. If you buy a car, buy only a flex car. Flex cars cost no more to manufacture than conventional cars, unlike the hybrid. By the way, do you realize the reason that the oil companies ran out of regular gas. Because they had plenty of higher octane gas. New ruling by the federal government said regular gas had to contain 10% alcohol. They didn't have enough alcohol to mix with the gas. Bush's answer..he released oil from the national reserve. At least congress had enough sense to try and take back all the tax breaks they recently gave the oil companies. Oh, and E85, the 85%alcohol fuel, can ruin a standard car. We need to either find a cheap way to make the regular car a flex car. Maybe the govenor could authorize a tax incentive or rebate to convert standard cars to flex cars. What we really need is "unselfish leadership".

friends

so I'm taking tons of psychology class and I'm trying to figure out friends and relationships. It occurred to me, I have friends, but not ones that last a long time. I would really have liked to have had a long term friendship. I'm trying to figure out why this never occurred with me. I know I'm very competitive, but ussually the friendship ends because the other girl starts to get mean or jealous. And why is it I just can't forgive once this happens. Or should I forgive more often. Why am I always afraid the offender will repeat the offensive action? Or is it me that they think I'm to blame? Why can't we all just be more suppotive of each other?

been a long time

just to let everyone know what is going on with me. I really like nursing school...it can sometimes be tough, long hours, classes are tougher, and living on my own can be lonesome...but I feel like I can really help people when I'm done. I was originally going to be back in Bellevue in early May, but I decided to take an extra class so it won't be until the middle of June. I still want to go to Germany, but I want to teach swimming this summer so I don't think it will fit into my schedule. I like my apartment, although it is very small...I like to think of it as comfortable. I will be graduating in June 07 and yes I will have a 4 year degree thanks to running start. I'm still seeing my boyfriend, Cory. Even though we are a little over an hours drive apart. That fills everyone in on what is going on with me.

I am talking to this guy I used to know in High School...He says that he was dumb, because he did not ask me out. He tells me about things we use to do in high school and how it made him feel. Like how he was jealous of Velibor when we were talking. And how he liked just touching my hand. That fact that he would miss his bus to talk to me for 30 mins. It is kinda of cute, but a little scary that he guy has liked me since I was a Freshmen. I don't know.
Daily Anatomy Knowledge

Interesting Fact #1

Oxytocin (a hormone made by the neurohypophysis (a lobe in the pituitary gland))which signals the orgasm also is responsible for the urge to cuddle...This might mean that the more someone wants to cuddle the better the sex was. The reason is because as a hormone oxytocin stays in your system longer. I love Anatomy!

If you have any question I about the human body...remember I know all.
